OWNED FAILURE - Jaime Chung to Play Samurai Girl on ABC did ABC Disney know she had a prior DUI conviction when she was 20

Based on a series of popular young adult novels, “Samurai Girl” tells the story of a 19-year old Japanese girl named Heaven, who discovers that the wealthy businessman who adopted her as an infant is really the head of the Yakuza (the Japanese mafia) and may have had her beloved brother brutally murdered. She breaks from her family and begins training to become a samurai, and with the help of a group of new American friends, sets out to take down her father’s evil empire.

“Samurai Girl” is slated to begin production in Vancouver this spring and air over the course of one weekend in August 2008. ABC Family has had considerable success with weekend-long programming events, such as the original, “Fallen,” and with acquired features, including the ‘Harry Potter’ and “Bring it On” franchises.

“Samurai Girl” stars: Jamie Chung (Heaven), Brendan Fehr (Jake Stanton), Saige Thompson (Cheryl), Kyle Labine (Otto), Anthony Brandon Wong (Kogo), Steven Brand (Severin) and Kenneth Choi (Sato). Jamie Chung was in “Real World: San Diego” and is starring in the upcoming feature, “Dragonball. She was also a featured model in ripetv”

“Samurai Girl” was brought to ABC Family through Alloy Entertainment. Alloy’s Leslie Morgenstein and Bob Levy will serve as executive producers on the series. Frank Spotnitz served as an executive producer on the pilot. The teleplay was written by co-EP, Luke McMullen.

IN REAL LIFE 20-year-old Jamie Chung pleaded guilty last March to drunk driving. Chung, who is not old enough to drink in California, was nabbed last January by California Highway Patrol officers while driving her Volkswagen on Interstate 215 in Riverside County. Following her plea, Chung was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to serve nine days in the work program of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, where the above mug shot was snapped.

Well, Google will have another prisoner to post up very soon if I get caught for drivign without license. Anyways, i think Jamie Chung deserves a break. And I’m not just saying this cos she’s my name sake. Look how repentant and genuinely sorry she looks in the mug shot.

Joe Jonas has been rumored to be dating country cutie Taylor Swift, as they have been jet setting to each others shows on off days from their respective concert tours. Taylor has performed Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez have been facing a lot of speculation about their relationship, although nothing has been confirmed.

No surprise, oldest brother Kevin was fifth wheel, without a lady of his own.

The Hannah Montana star said she was sorry, but her contrition sounded less convincing. More than once, a jealous Cyrus said Gomez and Lovato were being “funny” and that’s her “thing.”

Selena Gomez is often called the next Miley Cyrus, which doesn’t seem to sit too well with Miley Cyrus, who is the current Miley Cyrus. And in her latest youtube video, Miley vents a little bit in a none too subtle way. Us magazine says…

Miley, 15, makes fun of a T-shirt Gomez, 16, wore and teases Demi, 15, about a gap she used to have in her teeth.
The clip surfaces the same week that sources tell Usmagazine.com that Selena is dating Miley’s ex Nick Jonas (a rep for the Jonas Brothers insists they’re just friends).

So yeah the video is just 5 minutes of teen girls squealing. But I hope they work things out. There was so much underlying tension in this video I could barely even get an erection.

Even though TMZ says this video has been out since March and has already generated 3,000,000 views, Us Weekly thinks it’s hot news or something. From Us:

That video had almost everything a guy could possibly want in it. Teenage girls? Check. Too much make-up? Check. Grainy resolution? Check. About the only thing it’s missing is a knock-down-drag-out fight inside a kiddie pool filled with canola oil while I stand off to the side, dressed as Abraham Lincoln, shouting obscenities and throwing water balloons full of chocolate pudding at the two combatants.* Seriously though, I hope these two work out their differences soon. I’d hate to see the two get into an argument, start wrestling, and end up pulling each other’s hair. Of course, if that does happen, I’d appreciate it if they did it in slow motion.
